"I can't wait until I'm older. There's nothing great about being young. Being young means that you're still naive. That's why it feels like you're soaring in the sky or sinking beneath the ocean when someone you admire betrays you. Those emotions control your entire life and can make you lose sight of who you are. By growing older, your heart grows more experienced. You grow one step further away from being controlled by your feelings and are able to keep from soaring through the sky or sinking to the depths of the ocean. That's what it means to grow older."

Like a distant painful memory Momo could full the past creeping up on her. She refuse to allow herself to look back to see as she was sure he’d be standing right there. Both threatening, and alluring; asking her to risk everything for the ability to trust again. Wanting to break, and mold her resolve, and being to his will with just the hope of his warm smile as a reward.
The demon at her back constantly reaching to pull her in with whispers of doubt. The evil at her heels, constantly making her question if what she knew to be true was real. Every day she held on to the strength lent to her by everyone. The friends who had seen her at her worst, and built her up from the rumble he had made of the loyal, and admiring fukutaichou.
The were what kept the delusions at bay, and the firm knowledge that the person she had looked up to was not real. What she would fight for, and the people she would protect with every ounce of her tiny body was real.
“Oh Shiro-chan” Hinamori giggled lightly seeing the chibi-taichou asleep on his futon the wrong way. “How are you ever going to grow taller, and become a grown up if you can’t even sleep on your bed right?” The brunette fukutaichou crouched down beside the bed, and smiled watching the white-haired male. “You must have really been exhausted.”
Standing up, she moved him a little off of the futon, glad that he was sleepy pretty heavy, before unfolding the mattress. Once she had the bed properly made she used her little muscles to pull her closest friend on to the bed. She covered him up, and tucked him in before sitting on the floor beside him. It had been a long time since she saw Toshiro look so peaceful.
Toshiro was positively exhausted. After countless late nights of paper work and early starts for training, he had finally found some free time. Normally he’d go and see Hinamori whenever he wasn’t busy, and that was exactly what he had planned to do. But after simply sitting down for a few minutes, his fatigue had gotten the best of him.
Stirring slightly, he tugged at the blanket, pulling it higher over him. Wait. Things were coming into focus and he inwardly groaned - his mind was awake now, meaning that it was hopeless to even try to fall asleep again.
Slowly, Toshiro opened his eyes. It was bright and he was sitting in his room - that wasn’t the problem. How was he now lying down? He didn’t remember unfolding his futon. He’d probably missed half the day already - which meant that there was even more things for him to catch up on. Not to mention that he’d completely missed spending time with Hinamori.
After a few moments, the captain pulled himself up into a sitting position and looked around, pausing to look at a certain girl who sat beside him. “Hinamori-? What are you doing?” He was certainly confused - what was she doing here?
Hinamori rested her head on her knees watching as he awoke from his sleep. He seemed confused at first, which she should have expected since he had decided to take of of his famous naps not on the couch of his office, but rather the floor of his room. She had obviously came by to check on him before she noticed he was asleep, and had made it so he slept properly.
“Hmm?” The fukutaichou tilted her head a little confused by the question. What else would she be doing here, except waiting for him to wake up. Her duties were done for the day, her paperwork filed, and her squad settled for the evening in the barracks. “Well, I didn’t see you earlier today so I came to see if you were slacking off, or giving Rangiku a hard time. You know a futon is meant to be unfolded before you sleep on it, Little Shiro.” she teased lightly before standing up.
She stood up, and looked down at him. “I bet you slept horribly because of that, you should thank me for straining my muscles to help. You’re pretty heavy for someone so small.” she bent over and tugged on his cheek a little. “If you ever get taller I don’t think I’ll be able to lift, or move you anymore.” Hinamori laughed a little, before letting her face soften into a smile. “Did you want to sleep more, or would you like to have some tea?”
“I think I picked the wrong time to see how everyone is doing. I’m not sure whatever is talking about, but for some reason it’s making me blush. Senna-san, what are you doing with the Quincy?”
Hinamori wasn’t very well versed on Human holidays, but the one called Halloween had reached the Soul Society recently. From what she had heard people dressed up in costumes, and went around asking for candy. After searching many places, she managed to find the perfect one for her. “I hope everyone likes it.” she smiled putting on the mouse ears.

Being young means that you’re still naive: Post Sake Party (BBB)(OPEN)
Rangiku was lounging about on the couch after her sake party. She had a lot of fun during the party and was surprised by who all was there. However, it had taken a bit out of her and she was at the borderline of being drunk. She had gone through about eight bottles of sake and was…
Rangiku was happy to see that it was Momo that had come into the living room. She hadn’t been aware that the girl had arrived already. Still, she was glad that Momo had decided to show up. Rangiku remembered trying to get Momo to show up and was glad she had decided to. Things would definitely be more fun since Senna, Orihime, and Momo were there. They’d be able to have many girls’ nights and she could even invite Neliel to come too. She didn’t bother to move her legs. She had assumed she’d take the couch. Still, she let Momo sit on the couch and lift her legs up. “Momo.” She greeted with a smile.
“I’m not drunk yet.” She said with a smile. “I’m not far from it though.” She said with a wink. It was true, just one more bottle and she’d be drunk. She couldn’t help but giggle too when Momo commented on how she was the life of the party. “You know it. There wouldn’t be excitement at a party without me!” she said with a smile. She nodded when Momo told her she should take it easy. She agreed but she was sure she’d probably end up getting drunk during this first half of the stay. “I know, I’m trying. See, I only had eight bottles tonight.” She said feeling proud of herself for showing a little restraint. “You just get here? I can get you some sake if you’d like.” She said with a smile.
“Eight bottles?!” Hinamori’s eyes went wide with shock. She knew that the strawberry-blonde could put it away, but that was so much. That amount of sake would probably drown Momo, but that wasn’t much of a surprise. She was so tiny compared to the curvy fukutaichou. “Oh my gosh, Rangiku. I don’t even know how you’re still alive right now.” she said looking at her with a bit of worry. “If I had that much, I’m sure I’d probably be passed out on the floor, or something.”
Tilting her head, she smiled brightly at the other. “O-Oh, yes! I just got here, a bit ago, but I found out my roommates already. You don’t have to do that, I’m sure you’re probably a bit tired from your fun. I can get it myself.” removing herself from the couch the brunette girl went, and found herself a bottle of sake. As she was exiting the kitchen, she also spotted a peach flavor liquor. Curious about it, she took it as well, before returning to where Rangiku was. “I… I think I’m kind of glad that Toshiro isn’t here. He probably wouldn’t approve of me drinking.” she giggled lightly sitting down on the floor in front of the couch.
“Rangiku, are you excited to be in a new place like this? I’m so nervous that my stomach has butterflies.” she turned her eyes down to her lap, setting the bottles beside her, and rested her back against the couch. “There are so many strange people here, that I don’t even know how to react.” Truthfully a bit of her was scared, but excited to be around the females she called her friends. Having Orihime, Senna, and Rangiku around again was so wonderful. Maybe they could have another girl’s night. Play some games, like truth and dare, or that was probably too much to ask, or too childish.
Rangiku was lounging about on the couch after her sake party. She had a lot of fun during the party and was surprised by who all was there. However, it had taken a bit out of her and she was at the borderline of being drunk. She had gone through about eight bottles of sake and was sure if she had one more, she’d definitely be drunk. Normally she wouldn’t care about getting drunk, but since there were so many people in the house and she didn’t know what she’d do in her drunken state, it wasn’t a good idea. Who knows what kind of trouble she’d get herself into? She wasn’t tired or anything, she was just exhausted.
She was happy when she heard someone coming towards the couch. She did want company and she was getting bored. She wanted someone to talk to. She didn’t bother sitting up to see who it was. She decided to keep on looking at the ceiling until the person announced their presence. She hoped it was someone she liked and knew. Sure she could’ve sensed their reiatsu to see who it was, but where would the fun in that be? She did like surprises every now and then. “Have a seat. If you want the couch, you’ll have to wait.” She said with a smile as she motioned to the empty chair across from the couch.
Hinamori was probably the last to arrive. She was so unsure as to whether she was actually even going to show up, to be very honest. A bit of the shinigami girl had just wanted to lock herself in her room, and take it easy while most of the others were off having a good time…but of course, no one would let that happen. A lot of coming here had been due to the coaxing from Shiro-chan (who had then decided not to show), Renji, and even the influence of Rangiku.
Her things had been sent plenty of time before hand, so all that was left was for Hinamori to find a room, and start to mingle. After exploring a little, she timid kept her distance from people, as they mingled, and drank. The fukutaichou never once touching a drop of alcohol in her life. Everyone was plenty happy, and in good moods by the time she found herself in the living room.
A little laugh escaped her, as she saw strawberry-blonde hair spilled across the couch. “Rangiku.” she said cheerily, as she lifted up the curvy woman‘s legs, and sitting down; letting the legs fall on to her. “You’re already drunk? Of course you are! Always the life of the party.” she teased, and giggle. “You should take it easy. We have a long way to go, and you don’t want to over do it so soon.”
character. momo hinamoriI have put on my lieutenant badge and come here today as the lieutenant of the 5th Division. But what that means is that I am acting as the person in charge of the members of the 5th Division, not as a subordinate of Captain Aizen, because he is an enemy of Soul Society.
The letters had stopped, and suddenly Aizen-taichou had vanished. A part of Hinamori ached, and cried out because of second abandonment, but another part—- a stronger part; held on to the memories of the captain she once knew. She would tuck away the fondness that she for the former mentor, and find an inner strength to be herself again, and to stand on her own, without needing his approval, and would it coming at the cost of hurting her friends.
A rare rational moment held Hinamori as she looked onto the glasses of her former captain. He was an enemy of the Soul Society, and regardless of what her naive heart wanted; she was a fukutaichou of the Gotei 13, and had a duty to do. She would tuck away the bruised ego, and hide her emotional lacerations; moving forward. A bit of denial would always live inside of her, and she wanted nothing more than to prove his innocence, but for now Momo would not dwell.
She would not self-destruct, or let this silence from the person she thought cared more than anyone destroy her. Instead she would hold her head up high, and continue on, worrying about what to do if, or when Aizen-taichou ever contacted her again, or appeared. She knew in the end, she’d be forced to choose between the most important people in her life, but that day wasn’t today. Tucking away the glasses in her pocket, the small shinigami girl continued on with her walk through the Squad 5 barracks, looking onto the day with renewed optimism.
hinamori-momo started following you
“Boo.”
Hinamori jumped as though her skeleton was trying to escape. “Ah!” she turned alarmed, and looked up at the tall captain. “Zaraki-taichou, you scared me!” the smaller shinigami exhaled a sigh of relief that it was only him. “I hope you are well.”
